JCB Plaza Lounge Paris has undergone a full-scale renovation, which was completed on July 1st,2024 in order to provide enhanced support for both Japanese and international JCB cardholders visiting Paris. As part of this effort, the lounge has focused on implementing a self-service and digital transformation (DX) approach. Our company's reception KIOSK terminal and counter service number ticketing system were adopted for this purpose, with system implementation completed on October 12th, 2024.
At the entrance, the reception KIOSK terminal authenticates whether the customer is a valid JCB cardholder. After language selection between Japanese and English followed by a minimal screen operation, the automatic door opens. Additionally, a QR code reading terminal has been installed next to the automatic door, which only allows re-entry with a QR code issued on the same day. These measures prevent unauthorized access and strengthen security, creating a safer and more secure lounge environment where customers can relax.
To further improve efficiency at the Plaza Lounge counter, customers wishing to consult with a staff member can either select an option on the reception KIOSK terminal screen or use the number ticketing system located in the center of the lounge. This new system streamlines the flow for both staff and customers, ensuring smooth and stress-free experience.
Furthermore, the customer behavior data collected through the reception KIOSK terminal screen interactions and the number ticketing system can be used by JCB for future statistical analysis of lounge visitors, serving as a tool for better understanding customer trends.
We hope that our system will help contribute to a more efficient and secure lounge usage for both JCB staff and lounge users. We are confident that this will further enhance the satisfaction of JCB cardholders in the future.
